A New Season

This Tuesday Pastor Bob kicks off a new season of Men’s and Women’s Ministry … in the book of Romans.

Women meet at 10am (childcare available) and 6:30pm. Horizon’s Men meet at 6:30pm.

An Early Bird Dinner is available at 6:00.

AWANA Needs YOU

Kids had to be turned away last Wednesday because there were not enough leaders. Please consider if this is the season for YOU to work and play with some AWANA kids. THEY need YOU. Sign-up in the courtyard.

Salt & Light
Pray for the leadership of our state and nation, be active in current affairs at this critical time in history, and Register to Vote!  Last day to register is Oct 20. Visit the Salt & Light Ministry table and pick up voter guides and information. Prayer today in Room 300 at 1:00pm.

Milk and Water

New believers need a solid biblical foundation. This includes water baptism. If you are new to faith or want a refresher course in the basics, plan to be at the new New Believers classes beginning Sept 21 at 11:15 in Room 103. Water baptism will follow at 4:00 at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas.

MOTS: 9/18

If you’re a Mom to an Infant thru Kindergartener, give yourself a gift; spend time in real adult conversation, have your own breakfast, listen to a speaker without interruption. Drop off the kids and get into MOTS, meeting alternating Thursdays 9:30-11:30am in Room 300. For more information and to sign up, drop by the table in the courtyard.

Missions Makes an Eternal Difference

Outreach and service opportunities this month include The Tijuana Orphanage Day Trip next Sat, Sept 20. Spend the day with our own Juan and Alicia Strutton and the kids from Grace Orphanage. Stop by the Missions table in the courtyard to reserve your spot.

Homes for Homeless
The weekend of September 26 and 27, the Men’s Ministry invites you parents (and teens?) to show the love of Jesus to our neighbors. Build a home for a homeless family across the border. Can’t go, but want to donate building materials? Drop by the Men's table for more information.

GriefShare Resumes Sept 21

For those who have lost a spouse, a parent, sibling or child, there is GriefShare, a video seminar and small group discussion led by caring people who have discovered that real healing comes over time and in God’s hands. Join us Sunday mornings at 10am beginning Sept 21 at Horizon Prep. Sign up at the table in the courtyard or call Ext. 5931.

Start Over … For The Last Time

Call Roger at ext. 5919 and ask him about Free Indeed, for men and women who know there’s no real freedom from sexual integrity issues, drugs, alcohol, gambling or other enslaving sin, without Jesus. This is biblically-based support for men and women in recovery.

Divorce Care Every Friday

It’s Bible study, video seminars and discussion groups for men and women who recognize that God loves us more than He hates divorce. Friday evenings at 6:30 in the Glass Room. Sign up at the table in the courtyard or call Ext. 5931.

The Orchard – Now on Thursdays

Horizon’s Young Adult Ministry, the Orchard (College-age 20s-30s) has moved to a new night…Thursdays @ 7pm!  Dynamic worship, relevant teaching, engaging fellowship and FUN! Contact Jared at jpetty@horizon.org.
