Tuesday, November 4…could be the most important Election Day of our lifetime. 

In preparing to vote, we are fasting and praying that God’s purposes for America would be realized in the men and women to be elected and the crucial issues that must be decided. For information, yard signs, voter guides and more, drop by the Salt & Light Information table in the courtyard.

Morning Prayer Watch

Pastor Bob has called the church to pray…alone, with your loved ones, in small groups, together..with the Body of Christ. To that end, the Sanctuary will be open for 30 minutes of corporate prayer each morning at 7:30 from Wednesday, October 29 thru Tuesday, November 4. Let us worship and seek to know the mind of God.

Bookshop Open House

This weekend, the Horizon Bookshop is hosting an Open House for your family to drop by and browse the many new titles for adults, teens and kids, innovative new gift lines, beautiful Home Décor items, wall art, cross jewelry and NOTW apparel, hats & car stickers.  Horizon’s bookshop proceeds help support our missionaries around the world.

Operation Christmas Child

Pack a shoe box full of school supplies, toiletries (no liquids) and small toys and put a smile on a little face.  Include your whole family and bring joy to a child overseas this Christmas.   Stop by the Missions table for information or contact pastor Steve Haines at ext. 5933.

Former Muslim, PLO Assassin, Arafat’s Driver

The author of “Once An Arafat Man” (published by Tyndale) is a former PLO sniper and chauffer to Yasir Arafat. Tass Abu Saaba will be our very special speaker at a very special time, Friday, November 7 at 7:00pm. Joel Rosenberg, the writer of Epicenter, says non-believing Jewish or Muslim friends will be especially moved by his testimony.

HP Open House

Can you join us for a Public Open House for interested 1st-8th grade families at Horizon Prep, 9:00-11:00 am tomorrow, October 7^th. Pick up an invitation at the HP table in the courtyard.

Just in time for Thanksgiving, here’s your chance to bless local Marine families with non-perishable food items. Plan to bring your gifts to Horizon NEXT weekend, Nov 1st and 2^nd. A specific list of requested items is available at the “God and Country Horizon Military Ministry” table in the courtyard.

If you’ve suffered a loss; through the death of a spouse, a child, sibling or parent, maneuvering the holiday traditions may be the most difficult time of the year. Horizon’s GriefShare ministry is offering a special video seminar, “Surviving the Holidays”, on Thursday evening, November 13 at 7pm.

The loss of a spouse is another devastating experience, especially during the holidays. You and your children can use the help of God’s comfort and some people who can share your pain. Horizon’s DivorceCare ministry is offering a special video seminar, “Surviving the Holidays”, on Saturday morning, November 22 at 10am.
