Tea Tickets NEXT Weekend

Tickets go on sale in the courtyard NEXT weekend for The Women’s Ministry’s Christmas Teas, December 7 and 8, featuring special music and a Christmas message from our own Dr. Carol Hand.  Tickets are $15 each or host a table for $120. Servers are also encouraged to sign up .. beginning NEXT weekend.

Operation Christmas Child

The deadline is NEXT weekend to bring in your shoeboxes full of school supplies, toiletries (no liquids) and small toys. Bring joy to a needy child this Christmas. If you prefer the Missions team prepare a shoebox for you, you can “adopt-a –box” by contributing at the Operation Christmas Child/ Missions table.

GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays

After the death of a spouse, child, sibling or parent, the holiday season can be especially troubling. You are invited to a special GriefShare video, “Surviving the Holidays” THIS Thursday evening, November 13 at 7pm. Meet in the Jr Hi room in the breezeway, but please RSVP at the Small Groups table.

• Horizon Prep Veterans Day Commemoration is Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 9:00am. The Miramar Color Guard will retire our flag & post new colors as we salute those who have served and sacrificed so much.  If you are a veteran, please join us in uniform.

EXPERIENCE is REQUIRED for NEW volunteer positions for professional chef, line cooks, pastry chefs, wait staff, event mgr, and event design. DivorceCare: Surviving the Holidays

Join with others who are learning to heal after divorce by leaning on God’s promises. You are invited to “Surviving the Holidays” - for the divorced and separated on Saturday morning, November 22 at 10am in the Glass Room. Please RSVP at the Small Groups table.

“Marriage is a Ministry” Small Group

Strengthen you marriage, understand your unique roles, learn to serve each other, applying biblical principles of marriage from Craig Caster’s DVD series. Discover together that marriage is a ministry .. Monday evenings at 7:00 in Rancho Penasquitos. Call 858-780-0304.

Salt & Light
Prop 8 was a victorious effort due, in large part, to dedicated men and women who prayed, who believe that the biblical definition of marriage cannot be changed by our culture. Horizon’s Salt & Light ministry headed our efforts .. to the glory of God. The final meeting of the year is this Sunday, Nov 9 at 1pm in Room 203, followed by the Take Action meeting at 2pm.  For more information, call Dean at 858-759-7095.
