On Common Ground (OCG) is a ministry where singles (post-college age and beyond!) come together to grow in Jesus Christ, build godly friendships, give through service opportunities and have fun. We meet the 1st Friday night of every month and these events include dinner, fellowship, great music and learning. Some highlights from past ‘First Fridays’ have been worship by Jean-Luc from The Kry, a message for singles from Pastor Bob, concerts with Justin Fox, Dodgeball & Broomball Tournaments, miniature golf, disco bowling, the OCG Dating Game, dance lessons, a Thanksgiving Family Feast and Christmas Carol Karaoke!
OCG also hosts a Home Bible Study the 3rd Friday Night of every month at 6 PM where the purpose is to know God, to grow in Him, to serve Him and share Him with others. We would love to have you join us for dinner and Bible study with Pastor Willy and Pete Hermes.
In addition, OCG provides recreation, special events and service opportunities each month. We have enjoyed indoor rock climbing, skiing trips to Mammoth, Aspen and Whistler, white water rafting trips to the Kern River, summer Bon Fires at Moonlight Beach and dinner theatre at Medieval Times. We have also been blessed to support the following church ministries and outreaches: Abused and Neglected Children Ministries, Convalescent Ministry, AWANA, Billy Graham Television Telephone Ministry, Harvest Festival and the Living Nativity, to name a few.
