Overview

Billy Graham Television Telephone Ministry (BG TVTM) is focused on reaching out to those people who, while watching a Billy Graham Evangelistic Association telecast, call the toll free number at the bottom of the screen. As the calls come in, they are routed to over 44 call centers across the U.S. and Canada.

Thousands of people call to commit their lives to Jesus Christ. As a BG TVTM Phone Volunteer you will answer calls form people who are lost or hurting, offer spiritual direction, explain how to follow Jesus, and pray for callers.

The BG TVTM Telecasts are spread out over the year which gives you many opportunities to share in reaping the glorious harvest for the Lord.

You can click on the News link above and look at results from the most recent telecasts. But, we are careful not to make this about the numbers. If just one person calls in to open their heart and life to Jesus all the time and effort would be worth it! However, it is both interesting and exciting to see what the Lord has done through BG TVTM.

For TVTM to function we need faithful volunteers who have a burden for the lost and hurting to maintain the flow of calls that come into our call center. Step out in faith and be a voice of hope to those in need.

How Do I Get Started in BG TVTM?

Pray for a heart of compassion for the lost and hurting, and passion for evangelism.
Download and complete the BG TVTM Application. Click HERE to download the Application.
Submit your contact information so we may connect with you and answer questions for you by emailing Roger Pyes at rpyes@horizon.org.
The final step is for you to receive your BG TVTM Training. To receive your Training just choose any Telecast night that fits into your schedule. Come 1 hour early and bring your completed BG TVTM Application. Following your Training you will be ready to answer the phones. To ensure your first time on the phones goes smoothly, your Trainer will be with you for the full duration of your shift. After your first night on the phones you will have an active status as a BG TVTM Phone Volunteer.

Prerequisites For Volunteering

We ask that you prayerfully consider your role in the BG TVTM Telephone Ministry, and check that you meet the required standards below. To be a BG TVTM Phone Volunteer you must:

Have a personal and ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Have a desire to share the Gospel and are willing to be trained.
Be a member in good standing in a local church.
Be at least 18 years old (there are many other volunteer opportunities for 13-17 year olds).
Submit an application signed by your Pastor, which includes a written testimony about how you became a believer in Jesus Christ.
Attend a BG TVTM Training Session.
