Fifty Six is a fresh new approach in bringing the gospel to our 5th and 6th graders and is designed to show the love and excitement that comes from having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Fifty Six is not your typical Sunday School class, but it is a cool club where kids can hang out to meet new friends and learn about Christ.
Led by Pastor Shawn Irving, Fifty Six communicates the gospel of Jesus Christ in a style that kids understand. Shawn teaches the kids by walking them through the Bible and addressing the important and difficult issues that today’s youth face.
Fifty Six also offers fun activities throughout the month (movie nights, sports activities, camps, etc) that enable kids to fellowship and make friends, as well as participate in outreach events to orphanages in Mexico, homeless shelters, elderly homes and other places where they can share the love of Christ.
This year’s theme is “Highway to Heaven”, and focuses on the theme verse Matthew 5:6, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” We want kids to understand the Way of Christ, the Truth of His Word, and the Abundant Life God has given us when we commit our lives to Jesus and Eternal Life He blesses us with when we enter His kingdom.
